About Department of Fuel and Energy Technical Engineering

Respected Head of the Fuel and Energy Technical Engineering

Asst. Prof. Dr

About the Department:

in 2024-2025 to be one of the distinguished departments in the Technical College of Engineering - Alayen Iraqi University  due to its privacy and specialization. The department prepares technical engineers specializing in the field of fuel and energy and its location in an oil governorate adjacent to several governorates that are considered the main source of energy in Iraq in addition to the prevailing nature of the regional area that provides job and investment opportunities for the diversity of energy sources. The labor market's reliance on companies and oil refineries in the public and private sectors falls directly on this department. The Department of Fuel and Energy Technology Engineering contains many practical laboratories such as the Organic Chemistry and Petroleum Refining Laboratory, the Physical Chemistry Laboratory, the Analytical Chemistry and Fluids Laboratory, the Internal Combustion Engines Laboratory, the Electrical Laboratory, the Computer Laboratory, and the AutoCAD Laboratory in addition to the Crude Oil Refinery Workshop where practical lessons are explained and laboratory experiments are conducted for the department's students in many academic subjects. All this is supported by theoretical materials that contribute to building the foundations of engineering and scientific materials supporting the technical engineer to be qualified to work in the fields of fuel and energy in the oil and chemical industries and new sustainable energy sources, which makes him capable of facing practical applied problems and achieving the planned goals and objectives in the workplace. The graduate of the Department of Fuel and Energy Technology Engineering also has the ability to complete postgraduate studies and conduct planning and economic feasibility studies, which makes him an effective participant with his peers in other specializations in the workplace

The Department's Vision:

Qualifying distinguished and innovative competencies scientifically and with high skill and professional and ethical behavior who are able to keep pace with developments in the field of FUEL AND ENERGY TECHNICAL ENGINEERING and facing the engineering scientific challenges to provide applicable solutions and community service.

The Department's Mission:

Graduating distinguished technical engineers with qualified scientific and ethical levels and high efficiency in the fields of FUEL AND ENERGY engineering techniques by providing an advanced scientific environment and specialized faculty to be able to complete the process of higher education and professional learning and provide community service within multidisciplinary work times.

The Department's Objectives:

PEO1: competently apply engineering methods to solve professional problems associated with the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of FUEL AND ENERGY and related systems and understand the social, ethical, and environmental context of their work.

PEO2: communicate effectively with diverse and international communities, collaborate competently in cross-functional teams, and assume leadership roles while meeting the expectations of their employers.

PEO3: habitually engage in technical professional development
